
What is a balanced diet weight and is this possible to acheive in todays “rushed and stressed” society. It is really important to realise that a balanced diet is one of the main factors in remaining healthy. Yeh we all crave a certain amount of “junk” food but to stay well we have to be so careful as to how much of this we are eating.
Here are some food substances you should be eating. I find it helpful to make a shopping list before I go to the supermarket (include these categories). This helps focus the mind and keeps me out of the “cake” section.
Include these in your diet to help acheive a balanced diet Carbohydrates, Proteins, Fats, Vitamins, Minerals and Salts, Oh and the dreaded Fibre.
Before you change your diet please ensure that you are eating the correct amount of each food. Seek advice and don’t just guess at how much of each you need. There are many excellent books available either online or from a good bookstore.
Although it can sometimes take a little longer to prepare a healthy,balanced diet you do get into a routine and it is well worth it.
